Career at wissner-bosserhoff - our colleagues

When I started as a trainee and dual student at wissner-bosserhoff in 2018, the first thing I had to do was go through all departments. My colleagues in production showed me how our beds are produced in the first place, followed by all the commercial departments, starting with purchasing, then financial accounting, sales and marketing. I then worked for a year in After Sales Service, where I was able to gain valuable experience, until the opportunity arose for me to move to the HR department.

The same applies to working in the HR department as to a dual study program: you shouldn’t be afraid of new challenges and should be able to adapt to new tasks spontaneously. I’m still at the very beginning, but I already know exactly what’s important to me in my professional life: the opportunity to contribute my own ideas, the offer of flexible development and clear prospects with my employer. Of course, security also plays a big role for me, for example in the form of collective wage agreements or working in an industry with a secure future. I feel particularly comfortable at wissner-bosserhoff because we know each other personally here and I can always rely on the support of my colleagues. I now count some of my colleagues among my circle of friends.

Corona has put a serious crimp in my hobbies since the beginning of the pandemic. I play volleyball and tennis – team sports that have been impossible to do lately. Fortunately, we are now able to train regularly again. In the summer, I also love to ride my bike. Since I live in the Sauerland region, I sometimes even use the Ruhrtal Cycle Path, which runs right by our company, as a route to work.
