Varied activities in nursing care

A common problem in nursing is the varied design of everyday life. To offer a constantly changing daily program can be very difficult for many in the long run. In our blog series „Varied Careers in Nursing“, we try to put together some creative ideas and thus help you with your next day’s planning a little.

Cook

Almost every person can remember a dish from his youth. It can be a nice and exciting experience to cook these dishes and then eat together.

Sew

Sewing, embroidery or weaving can be an exciting occupation for everyone. If the motor skills are still sufficient, you can still learn it even in old age and thus perhaps represent a new hobby for the individual residents.

Short stories

Fairytales like Hensel and Gretel or Cinderella are known to almost everyone. But, the world of short stories is huge. There are countless books in which they are recorded, so you can constantly read a varied story. Maybe even one or the other inhabitant knows a story from his youth and would like to present it himself.

Bake

Baking is a good alternative to cooking. Punching out cookies, making sculptures out of dough or preparing completely different recipes are often still possible for people with restricted motor skills.
